How to Disable Windows 11 Startup Sound?
When you log into Windows 11, you hear a special sound, which, in fact, is not a problem in most cases. However, there are situations where you need to be completely silent, for example, in a class at the university or in the office at work. Is it possible to do something with this melody and somehow turn it off? Sure you can! In today’s article we will show you just that.
Disable Windows 11 Startup Sound
Unlike many other settings that Microsoft, for some reason, decided to hide from the user, the option we need today is in the system Settings, in the Personalization section.
- Press WIN+I to open the Settings window;
- Go to “Personalization”→”Themes” and click on “Sounds” to open a window with sound settings;
- Uncheck the “Play Windows startup sound” option;
save the changes you made.
That’s the end of it. No need to go into the local group policy editor or Windows 11 registry. All you have to do is uncheck the option, and you’re done.
