How can I change my nickname in World of Tanks Blitz?

World of Tanks Blitz can use two different kinds of accounts. Each one has a different way to change the nickname:

Wargaming.net account

The Wargaming.net account created on our official websites will allow you to enter different games. Right now, with your Wargaming.net access you can enter World of Tanks PC version, World of Warplanes, World of Tanks Blitz and in the future World of Warships.

However, World of Tanks on PC and World of Tanks Blitz don’t share their resources and everything inside the game is independent except the nickname, which is directly related to your account.

Because there is no feature or tool to change the nickname in World of Tanks Blitz, players who are only playing Blitz need to follow a specific guide to change their nickname. If you are using a Wargaming.net account, please follow these steps:

1. Log in into www.worldoftanks.eu with your Wargaming.net credentials.
2. Click on Get Gold in the top right-corner.
3. Buy a package of 2 500 Gold (9,95 €),

   If you don’t play the PC version of World of Tanks or World of Warplanes don’t buy extra Gold because that resource is not shared with Blitz and we can’t transfer it.

4. Go back to the main page, click on your nickname (on the top-right corner) and go to Account Management,
5. Once there, click on “Change Name” and follow the procedure (you can find more details on the nickname change feature here

Your nickname will be instantly changed in the forums and the support centre, but in the game it will be only changed after the next server restart for that game, meaning the process may take up to one week to be concluded.

Game Center account

Your Game Center account is the account you are using when playing games on your iOS device. It is shared with all your other applications. As Wargaming.net does not have control over your Game Center account, you will need to change the account to a Wargaming.net account if you would like to change your nickname.

You do not have to create a new one though, you can simply convert your Game Center account to a Wargaming.net account.

To do that, please follow these steps:

1. Log into World of Tanks Blitz on your iOS device;
2. Click on the Menu button in the top-left corner of the Garage;
3. Choose Profile and once inside sign up for the Wargaming.net account. Once the process is concluded you can follow the previous guide “Wargaming.net account” to change your nickname on your Wargaming.net account.
