How to fix error “File system Failure: Aborting execution” in Far Cry 4?

First thing that you need to do that is identify the problem itself. From the error message you can tell that game couldn’t find access to file gamerprofile.xml.
Proceed to the directory indicated in the error «c:\steam\steamapps\common\far cry 4\data_win32\Ä\my games\far cry 4\b802-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxx\gamerprofile.xml» you will find that folder «Ä» missing. There’s only «G» folder will be.
Since the folder «Ä» with a file gamerprofile.xml absent, when the game is trying to get access to it, appears an error “File system Failure: Aborting execution” in Far Cry 4.
To correct this error, do the following:
- Create a new folder in the folder c:\steam\steamapps\common\far cry 4\data_win32\
- Create a new folder using a name «Ä». In order to type the symbol turn Num Lock, press and hold the Alt key and enter a sequence of numbers 0 1 9 6.
- Drag the folder “my games” in the «G» folder.
- Then insert all this in the newly created folder «Ä» in the directory c:\steam\steamapps\common\far cry 4\data_win32\
- Remove the «G» folder once you follow copying «my games» in «Ä» folder.
- As an alternative, you can simply rename the folder «G» in the «Ä» folder, but for some reason this method can not solve the problem for some users.
After these steps, the error “File system Failure: Aborting execution” in Far Cry 4 should disappear.
