What to do if you find a bug in Outcast – Second Contact
Outcast – Second Contact is an HD remake of the original 1999 Outcast game, which is finally out. And, of course, there were a number of mistakes in the game. This time developers actively communicate with users in the Steam forum thread devoted to this game and described the list of actions that you need to make if you encounter an error in the game.
If you encounter a bug:
- Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64bits or higher
- Processor: 4th Gen Intel® Core ™ i5 Processors / AMD FX® 8300
- Memory: 6 GB RAM
- Graphics Card: GeForce GTX670 / AMD Radeon® 7950
- DirectX: Version 11
- Disk space: 15 GB
- Sound card: Yes
- Check installation integrity:
- Right click on the game in your Steam games library
- Select “Properties”
- Go to the “LOCAL FILES” tab
- Click “VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE”

- DirectX diagnostic file:
- Press the Windows + R key
- Type dxdiag in the search box and click on OK
- When DxDiag opens, check to see if there’s a button that says Run 64-bit DxDiag – if there is click it
- Click Save All Information and save the file to your desktop (make sure it’s saving as a text file)
