Resident Evil 4 (2023) Guide: How to Skip the Village Fight

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when it involves Resident Evil 4? That’s right, the fight in the village. You know, the one where Leon Kennedy, the game’s protagonist, has to barricade himself against an angry redneck and one hell of a pushy man with a chainsaw in dilapidated huts. The player has to survive the onslaught of the foes for a while, and then the bell tolls – salvation. A truly iconic moment, which, by the way, has been successfully transferred to the Resident Evil 4 Remake.

How to Skip the Fight in the Village in Resident Evil 4 (2023)

Unlike the classic version, in Resident Evil 4 (2023) the fight in the village can be almost completely skipped. Bell tolling, remember? Well, the player can literally shoot the bell at the remote church, instead of waiting for the script to work. And now a little more detail:

  • once inside the village, head for the house, which is next to the high tower;
  • run up the stairs to the second floor and immediately jump out the first window on the right onto the roof;
  • turn back to the tower and run along the wooden planking a little way forward;
  • in the distance, behind the tower, you can see the bell tower of the church – shoot the bell.

Hint: The bell is not at the very top, but just below, at the level of the branches of the tree that covers the tower.

No, you don’t need a sniper rifle to hit the bell. You can even use a starting gun. The main thing is to hit the bell.
