If you have already played Nioh and for some reason want to continue the game from some particular place, then the way out for you is to transfer others’ saves into the game. And if you have already tried to do this, you have encountered a similar screen (see screenshot below).
There is certainly a way out of this situation, here is the sequence of actions that you need to do:
- Download the desired save
- Download HEX Workshop
- Install it
- Start
- Open via HEX editor file Savedata.bin in the folder C: \ Users \ Your user \ Documents \ KoeiTecmo \ Nioh \ Savedata
- Write down the values of the bytes allocated in the screenshot below.
- Open with the help of the editor the save that you downloaded
- Find these bytes there and change their values to those that are we wrote down earlier. This file is in two folders, Savedata and Systemsavedata. Accordingly, you need to change both.
- Transfer saves to C: \ Users \ Your User \ Documents \ KoeiTecmo \ Nioh \ with the replacement
That’s all, now you can play Nioh from every place you want. But of course, you need to find the necessary save. We hope that the article was useful to you.
Spasibo, rabotaet.
Replacing Systemsavedata is not strictly necessary. Doing so will transfer your settings, but only savedata contains actual progress information and mismatching them does not harm your game.
Didn’t work. Gave me the save exact error message of “This save file is from another player” . Curiously, I found that my old save file had the same exact hex values as the one in the example which I found to be really odd.
I take it back, it worked. Its just the instructions are not too clear. You need to take the hex values of the NEW save files, copy them, and then paste them in the OLD save file. Once you have done that, you take the entire OLD save file and copy and replace it over the NEW one. *sotanaht* is right that you do not need to copy over the systemsavedata file over but you will see an annoying error message every time you visit a shrine so it may be a good idea to go ahead and do the same thing on that one anyway.
Thanks so much for the clarification it helped me!
I still can’t figure this out. I’ve tried everything and it still doesn’t work. It still goes to my game! Help!
You need an Steam save game (even if its on level one) to copy the values from as indicated in the tutorial. Once you have those values (the values indicates that particular save belongs to you), proceed to change them on the saved game that you actually want to use. Afterwards copy them to the save folder where the Nioh games ares stored.
dude , give this guy a medal. i was so raged when i couldnt get my saves and his comment saved my life. thanks bro
no one its saying u need to copy the values from SYSTEMsavedata (and NOT just savedata) file intro the savefata and systemsavedata that you wanna keep.
5. Open via HEX editor file Savedata.bin in the folder C: \ Users \ Your user \ Documents \ KoeiTecmo \ Nioh \ SYSTEMsavedata
Hi,
Tried to follow this guide but after going to main screen it’s stuck at the title page. You can see Nioh sign but there is no option to start a game, like game menu is missing.
