Death Stranding c0000005h fix
I’ve been playing Death Stranding, but it keeps crashing with error c0000005h. Sometimes the error appears during the gameplay itself, and sometimes when changing the graphics settings. I can endure some lag and stuttering (the PC is not the best), but the constant errors – I cannot. Windows 10, the hardware is a little better than what is listed in the system requirements, all the updates and needed software seems to be installed. Please, help me end this horrendous nightmare of an error!
Solution
Access Violation (C0000005h) is quite a familiar sight for Death Stranding. The error, without exaggeration, has been terrorizing players literally since the game’s release. And unfortunately, even several years after the release, no one knows exactly what causes it and how to get rid of it for sure.
All you can do is to follow some recommendations which, in theory, will help you if not to get rid of it, then at least to reduce the appearance of the C0000005h.
- Update the graphics drivers on your graphics card.
- Install all pending updates for Windows 10/11.
- Close all unnecessary background software before starting the game – especially close the browser!
- Check the integrity of your game files or reinstall it completely.
It’s important to note that this error sometimes appears even in “ideal” conditions, i.e. even when the system is in perfect state and the game should not give out any errors in general.
