Hello! I got “An error has occurred. Error code: 0x80070714”. Tried to update Windows 10, but this failure interferes. Do I have to install the system manually from a flash drive, or is there something I can do to make everything happen automatically?

Good day! Fortunately, the code 0x80070714 has a completely understandable reason for the appearance – this is a mismatch or service conflict. There is a very specific service that is causing the crash and that is Microsoft SQL Server VSS Writer.

Instruction:

1. Press Win + R, type msconfig and press Enter.
2. We are looking for the SQL Server VSS Writer service and double-click on it.
3. We turn it off forcibly and start the update again.
4. After the update, do not forget to enable the service.
