Malnourished horses

I have 2 horses and every time I switch between them, they’re always malnourished. Lately, I’ve been feeding them bales of hay, apples and celebrities (More than enough if you ask me) but they still become malnourished in no time. Is anyone else having this problem? Horses at the stables should at least be fed if we’re paying stable fees, right? Glad I only have 2 horses instead of 5 cuz that seems like too much work if you want to keep your horses healthy.
