Why “end of file reached”?

I’m trying to update my Windows, but something keeps getting in the way. Each time he writes that “the end of the file has been reached.” It also mentions this: “ERROR_HANDLE_EOF”. It’s not that I need to fix the problem quickly, but I don’t like to leave things for later. Give a hint in which direction to dig.
